so we are kind of quitters...

Thought I should update this since our plans have changed. Due to Mom's foot injury we will have to skip the 3 Day this year. We really don't want to do it unless we do it together so our grand plan will have to wait until 2009. We all agree that it will mean more if we do it together and Kara is scared she will have to sleep in a tent with a stranger. I will try to keep this blog open so that when we do start this crazy endeavor we can document it.

What sane person walks 60 miles in 3 days?

Seriously, what are we thinking??? The 4 of us are participating in the 3 Day Walk benefitting the Susan G. Komen Foundation. It is a committment to walk 60 miles of 3 days in November and each raise $2200. So, for anyone who has stumbled onto this blog when I say the four of us this is who we are....

Nancy - the mom, and recent grandmother, who is a breast cancer survivor. Livies in Philadelphia
Laura (me) - 29 years old, married with a new baby girl, living in Dallas
Ande - 25 years old, living in North Jersey and working in NYC
Kara - 23 years old, 8th grade teacher in Houston

None of us are regular exercisers or particurlly good at rasing money but for some reason we now have a committment to do both. We thought since we are doing this crazy thing it might be worth documenting it. And it gives all 4 of us a chance to bitch.
